Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the BMW X1 than in the Volvo EX30. The Volvo EX30 offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the BMW X1, offering the driver and front passenger a bit more room and comfort.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW X1 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Volvo EX30.

Dimensions
The BMW X1 is about the same width as the Volvo EX30. If you go with the BMW X1, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Volvo EX30.

Handling
The BMW X1 has a larger turning radius than the Volvo EX30, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW X1 has a lot less horsepower than the Volvo EX30.

Powertrain
Due to its much higher torque, the BMW X1 does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Volvo EX30.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the BMW X1 and the Volvo EX30. With the BMW X1, you'll be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Volvo EX30.
